The Friends of ʻIolani Palace

ʻIolani Palace is an irreplaceable monument of Hawaiʻi’s history. Built in 1882, this historic landmark served as the political and social center of the Kingdom of Hawai’i until the overthrow in 1893. Today ʻIolani Palace is the only official royal residence in the United States and a reminder of the rich history of Hawaiʻi.

Waimea Valley

Waimea Valley in the Waialua Moku on the North Shore of O’ahu is a wahi pana (storied place) that holds the mo’olelo (stories) of our kupuna (ancestors). Operated by Hi’ipaka LLC, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Waimea Valley preserves cultural and historical sites, maintains over 300 acres of botanical gardens and provides educational programs that celebrate the rich history of this ʻāina.

Bishop Museum

Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum’s mission is to inspire its community and visitors through the exploration, celebration, and perpetuation of the extraordinary history, culture, and environment of Hawai‘i and the Pacific. The Museum was founded in 1889 by Charles Reed Bishop in memory of his wife Bernice Pauahi Bishop, a royal descendant of King Kamehameha I. Today, the Museum thrives as an educational center for the community and is widely regarded as the world’s premier institution for Hawaiian and Pacific content.

DTL Foundation

DTL Foundation envisions a space where independent community groups thrive, creatively and economically, and where their work is widely valued as fundamental to the cultural, social and economic wellbeing of Hawaiʻi. By supporting independent community groups, small businesses and social enterprises in Hawaiʻi, DTL Foundations helps others forge their own paths to success while grounding themselves within a Hawaiian sense of place.
